Appointments

Appointments can be booked by telephoning the surgery, visiting the surgery in person or online.

If you wish to see a particular doctor/nurse please do not hesitate to say so and you will be offered an appointment as soon as possible.

Appointments on a Monday and Tuesday

Whilst the demand for an appointment with a doctor is high throughout the week, it is particularly high on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Experience has shown that the only way to make sure that patients can contact the Surgery on these days and have a reasonable prospect of making an appointment for the day in question is to make sure that there is a limit placed on the number of appointments for these days which can be booked in advance.

As a result we block a number of appointments for these days and only make them available for booking at the beginning of the morning/afternoon of the day in question.

We keep this situation under constant review and regularly fine tune the arrangement.

If you no longer need your appointment, or if you cannot attend, please let us know so that we can offer the space to someone else.

Telephone Consultations

The Practice has a Doctor or Nurse Practitioner available to give telephone advice each day between 8:30am and 11:30am. Telephone appointments are booked by reception and a clinician will return your call as soon as possible.

Out of hours

Outside of normal working hours we have a system to deal with emergencies which cannot wait until the next working day.

The telephone number to be used for out of hours emergencies will be given whenever you telephone the Surgery outside of normal working hours.

Home Visits

We can run the Practice most efficiently when patients are seen at the Surgery. In view of this please think carefully about whether you really need a home visit or whether you can arrange to get to the Surgery.

If you decide that you need a home visit please make the request as early in the morning as possible. Preferably before 10:30 am.
